A computer scientist, engineer and inventor who holds three of nine IBM’s patents. Dean co-invented three important technology’s at IBM, including the colour PC monitor and the first gigahertz chip. A gigahertz chip is a revolutionary piece of technology that is able to do a billion calculations per second. He was also IBM’s first black engineer of the year.
