A former professional footballer who started at St. Patrick’s Athletic and had his longest spells at Manchester United and Aston Villa. During this period he was an FA Cup, Football League Cup and PFA Players’ Player of the Year winner. McGrath has 83 international caps for Ireland and was a member of the Irish World Cup 1990, 1994 and UEFA Euro 1988 squads, making history as this was the first time the country has qualified for the World Cup finals and European Championships.
