A former footballer and pioneer in English women’s football who is the current first-team manager for Brighton & Hoe Albion women’s team. Powell was successful both as a player and manager, winning two FA Women’s Cup and the FA Women’s Premier League whilst earning 66 caps for England. She became the first ever full-time coach for England’s Women’s team, a position held for 15 years, and is the first woman to achieve the highest coaching qualification (UEFA Pro licence).
